About Living Word Lutheran School

Reaching higher to build a solid foundation...

so that children are well prepared for school and have a lasting curiosity for discovery, the precursor to building knowledge.

The mission of Living Word Lutheran School is to be an avenue of outreach in our community, proclaiming the living word of Christ so that all who hear may walk in the newness of life.

The philosophy of Living Word Lutheran School is to instruct the children in a complete early childhood education, while proclaiming the living Word of Christ in all interactions with students and their families; attracting the community to our program so that they too may walk in newness of life.

Lutheran Schools have existed in this country for more than a hundred years and have upheld the reputation of giving an excellent academic and Biblical education.  In keeping with this tradition, Little Gospel Light Preschool was established in 1998 by the members of Living Word Lutheran Church.  Beginning in the 2008-2009 school year, Little Gospel Light Preschool became Living Word Lutheran School.  In the fall of 2010, we began the process of National Lutheran School Accreditation for Early Childhood Centers.  This is a study in which the school is evaluated on national standards to measure the high quality of our program and demonstrate that we meet and exceed all local, state, and federal guidelines related to early childhood education.
